I am at work and trying to look busy. Typing looks like I'm working, see. At the same time I am trying to learn about defamation and have zero motivation. Hey that rhymed! There's nothing worse than losing interest in a subject I adore due to my arsehole of a tutor and the fear of abject humiliation come tomorrow morning. Booooo.
This week has been pretty shitty all round actually. I don't know why I am sometimes incapable of having a conversation with someone without turning it into an argument. I am thinking of nice ways to say things in my head and all that comes out is mean mean mean. I am a mental. I also need to stop letting the smallest of things get to me. Thats been somewhat of a challenge this week. Oh well, the week is almost over and there's always a chance to start afresh.
I am trying to eat healthily at the moment. Its going pretty well! Although I was laughed at today for eating a bag of raw carrot, cucumber and cherry tomatoes :( It was tasty!
Anyway, I better get back to work/defamation. Le travail reste encore!

Spring has sprung...
I have been somewhat of a social butterfly in the latter part of this week. By that, I mean I have actually left my room and got out to enjoy some of the sunshine. Don't worry though, inbetween I have reverted to my former hermit self, holed up in my room watching american tv shows and obsessing over things on the internet that I can neither get my hands on nor afford.
Spent a very pleasant few hours today catching up with one of my favourites over lunch and magnificent views of the Clifton suspension bridge. Its crazy how you can live in the same city and not see each other for 5 months but it is all the more uplifting when you do catch up and it is as if you never left each others side.
The boy returns tomorrow which needless to say I am immeasurably excited about. I have planned a weekend full of sushi, cinema, picknicking and cuddling until our arms fall off. Maybe stick a bit of shopping in there too. Although I am trying to be very good with money at the moment. Its quite fun having to try to look at your wardrobe in a different light to come up with new and exciting outfits.
Anyway, I am super tired so I might settle down with Grey's Anatomy, a book and sleep. I'm reading The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak. It is set in Nazi Germany and is narrated by death. One of the best books I've read in ages.
There is one downside that I have noted to it being warm enough to sleep with the window open - I have to put up with noise from all the crazies in my neighbourhood.
Bonne nuit mes amis. Bisous x
p.s. Oh and if someone would buy me a Rob Ryan print it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The extent of my blogging in recent months has been restricted to 140 characters on Twitter. I thought I'd try this out again and maybe it can become a form of routine instead of procrastination.
So, lets have a little update of the past 8 months or so:
- I now live in Bristol
- I am a postgraduate student
- I became an auntie on 12/10/08
- The boy and I have been together for 4 years
I'm feeling a little bit frustrated at the moment. I'm finding it really hard to be a student. I want to grow up and for the next stage of my life to start: to have a steady job, to wake up next to the boy every morning, to live for the weekend... come March next year this will all (hopefully) become a reality. I'm just sick of waiting.
Although I will no doubt revert to being a teenager when I return home for 7 months in July.
Anyway, on a more frivilous note. I really want lots of new clothes - a new summer wardrobe perhaps!
