Gosh, I haven't updated for a long, long time.

I am currently in the process of trying to create a new blog focussing on clothes, shoes, jewellery, make up and other desirable items. We will see how this goes, I may be seeing you again sooner than you think!

Living for the Weekend

The weeks have started to bleed into one and the weekends have become the only thing to keeping me going. I will be spending this coming one lazing in Bristol, it will mainly consist of lots of sleeping, shopping, eating (healthily of course) and hanging with the boy. A nice change considering the last four have consisted of train journeys, car journeys, family events and getting wet in fields. Okay, maybe that last one was just last weekend. Pretty tiring stuff though!

I was offered a job for the rest of July and August today. Its a shame I can't sniff at full time work at the moment due to my dire money situation (read: addiction to buying pretty dresses) because I could really do with a break. The 6th September can't come round soon enough! Although I have tons of stuff including vaccines and visas to sort in the meantime, the thought of Vietnam and lazing on a beach in Malaysia is truly keeping me going. That reminds I need to make a (legitimate) list of things to buy for holidayssss!

But for now I am off to bed.
I almost forgot, SO FRICKIN EXCITED:

A little bit of Chuck and Blair...

Woah, I've never quite seen this before but oh lord, hello!

Also, how amazingly cute is this:

The art of philately...

Today I was sent these in the post:

Each one comes with a little story by Neil Gaiman!

Could I love my boyfriend any more?

Next stop real world.

So there we are ladies and gentlemen, after 18 years of full time education I can finally say that I am done. Whenever I've finished exams/courses previously I've always felt a slight anti-climatic comedown. Right now I feel nothing but pure elation. Maybe because I'm finally done, apart from a few Professional qualifications over the next few years, I am through with education. Yay!

Now on to the next few exciting months ahead which will contain/hopefully contain the following things:

-Copious amounts of shopping
-Brand New
-Home
-Christenings
-BBQs
-Weddings
-Road trips
-Catch ups
-Lounging in the sunshine
-The Get Up Kids
-Singapore/Malaysia/Vietnam

Now, to find that elusive job to fund all of the above!

I want a pair of Saltwater sandals so so bad. Why must they only sell them in the US?

Monday, 18 May 2009

Okay, I promise I will update more fully soon. I'm just so darn tired all the time. Will June 15th hurry up already?
In the meantime, here is a summary of my past two weeks in very few words:

Workshops. London. Catherine. Catch ups. Spring Awakening. Giggles. Dancing. Missing. Incredible nerves. Exam results. Distinction. Celebration. Sushi. Star Trek. Cuddles. Reunion. Mexican. Cocktails. Clifton. Zoo. Scrabble. Victory. BBQ. Eurovision. Drinking games. Fry up. Torrential rain. Home. Work. Grey's Anatomy. Tears. Sleep.

...and I'm done.

I will update more fully later but in the meantime would like to express my new and undivided love for Gregory Peck:

Oh Gregory!

I have been thinking of heading over to Bicester to the designer outlet village for a while to look for a dress for my friend's Sarah's wedding. I need no more persuasion after discovering from Mademoiselle Robot's recent post that there is now a Luella shop there.

Oh the possibilities!

Oh Luella!

I am at work and trying to look busy. Typing looks like I'm working, see. At the same time I am trying to learn about defamation and have zero motivation. Hey that rhymed! There's nothing worse than losing interest in a subject I adore due to my arsehole of a tutor and the fear of abject humiliation come tomorrow morning. Booooo.

This week has been pretty shitty all round actually. I don't know why I am sometimes incapable of having a conversation with someone without turning it into an argument. I am thinking of nice ways to say things in my head and all that comes out is mean mean mean. I am a mental. I also need to stop letting the smallest of things get to me. Thats been somewhat of a challenge this week. Oh well, the week is almost over and there's always a chance to start afresh.

I am trying to eat healthily at the moment. Its going pretty well! Although I was laughed at today for eating a bag of raw carrot, cucumber and cherry tomatoes :( It was tasty!

Anyway, I better get back to work/defamation. Le travail reste encore!

Spring has sprung...

I have been somewhat of a social butterfly in the latter part of this week. By that, I mean I have actually left my room and got out to enjoy some of the sunshine. Don't worry though, inbetween I have reverted to my former hermit self, holed up in my room watching american tv shows and obsessing over things on the internet that I can neither get my hands on nor afford.

Spent a very pleasant few hours today catching up with one of my favourites over lunch and magnificent views of the Clifton suspension bridge. Its crazy how you can live in the same city and not see each other for 5 months but it is all the more uplifting when you do catch up and it is as if you never left each others side.

The boy returns tomorrow which needless to say I am immeasurably excited about. I have planned a weekend full of sushi, cinema, picknicking and cuddling until our arms fall off. Maybe stick a bit of shopping in there too. Although I am trying to be very good with money at the moment. Its quite fun having to try to look at your wardrobe in a different light to come up with new and exciting outfits.

Anyway, I am super tired so I might settle down with Grey's Anatomy, a book and sleep. I'm reading The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak. It is set in Nazi Germany and is narrated by death. One of the best books I've read in ages.

There is one downside that I have noted to it being warm enough to sleep with the window open - I have to put up with noise from all the crazies in my neighbourhood.

Bonne nuit mes amis. Bisous x

p.s. Oh and if someone would buy me a Rob Ryan print it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The extent of my blogging in recent months has been restricted to 140 characters on Twitter. I thought I'd try this out again and maybe it can become a form of routine instead of procrastination.

So, lets have a little update of the past 8 months or so:

- I now live in Bristol
- I am a postgraduate student
- I became an auntie on 12/10/08
- The boy and I have been together for 4 years

I'm feeling a little bit frustrated at the moment. I'm finding it really hard to be a student. I want to grow up and for the next stage of my life to start: to have a steady job, to wake up next to the boy every morning, to live for the weekend... come March next year this will all (hopefully) become a reality. I'm just sick of waiting.

Although I will no doubt revert to being a teenager when I return home for 7 months in July.

Anyway, on a more frivilous note. I really want lots of new clothes - a new summer wardrobe perhaps!

Summer wardrobe!
